First and foremost, I hope that @trunkmaster is OK with all that's happening in Ukraine, and that everything is fine.
Second, congrats for this project, I'm making with my partner a NeXTCube replica (half sized with a N150 minipc inside), with MO drive included, and this is a strong candidate as the OS selected (the other being GS Desktop).
Well, I was playing around with this project on Fedora and a VM, and its fantastic, but I wanted to "fake NeXTSTEP" at maximum, the first step (pun...) was changing the Workspace.app icon.
I've created a Next logo icon and tried to point in the preferences file to it, but every time I've restarted, it resets even with sudo, adding the tiff inside the app...so finally I've just replaced completely the app-fedora-48.tiff file with my own. It works now but no matter the size, it looks pixelated, as if it was bad scaled. Tried to edit in gimp the original fedora logo file putting the next logo and hiding the fedora logo, but still looks pixelated. Is there a way or size to make it sharp?
On this regard, tried to change the Chromium icon (shows as "unknown app") for one custom also. I can do it the official way with dock preferences but each time, when I reboot, it goes back to it's original state with unknown app icon.
It would be awesome also to be easy to customize and add your own icons. I've seen that the author of NeXTSpirit ones posted here and made an awesome new logo with perspective (I would make that logo as the official to that project, Its awesome!), but seemingly it suffers from pixelation in this project.
My goal would be to use those NextSpirit icons as the default ones for NeXTSpace, but right now seems a bit hard for it. Any ideas or tricks?
BTW, if someone wants to learn how to replace the OS logo in workspace, you can ask, its a bit tricky but possible! :3
Sorry for the big text slab, but I liked these two Nextstep projects and wanted to help or give ideas at least, and as said, I hope that everything goes well in Ukraine, cheers!
