UX proposal

Hello! I enjoyed using Kvantum Manager, had some UX suggestions for the layout of the UI based on it.

Thanks for sharing. There are many different tastes and preferences, and most of them are valid, including yours.

The current GUI was what I preferred for this job. I used a tool-box just because I got tired of tabs and lists, which were overused by others. I think everything is clearly explained in this GUI, also in its tooltips and "What's-This" (Help button).

BTW, Kvantum Manager is only a simple GUI tool for doing basic jobs. In no way it reflects all that can be done with Kvantum itself.

Understandable, I think as it is right now is straight forward and clearly explained. (Someone who isn't savvy like me was able to use it). I think your explanations are great in current state. It's interesting that the theme you are currently using is in the bottom left and the theme you are configuring is hidden away, do you have any thoughts on your decision making there?

You can configure only the active theme (which you called "currently using"), as the title of that page says,

Right, the UX I proposed implies you'd be able to see the other themes configuration, configure them, and "remembers" the custom configuration you had for specific themes. There are some features not in the Kvantum GUI that I suggest in the proposal to potentially better the UX (but take this with a grain of salt since I do not know the common journey of those who use Kvantum Manager GUI on a first basis vs regularly, just mine) but thanks for hearing me out!

Editing a theme that isn't active would make it impossible to review the changes. I'm afraid that's not a good idea for a tool whose target is the average user.

Advanced users and theme makers do it manually because the number of the available options are much more that what Kvantum Manager exposes, but they too need to activate their works to see what has really happened.

I see what you're saying, is it possible that "change/delete your theme" shares a tab with configuration? Was was your thinking around separating those two into two tabs? For example, what if you switched to an inactive theme and you wouldn't be able to see the configuration settings until you pressed "Use this theme". Not trying to push changes on you, just curious about your UX thought process since I think the two separated tabs confused me and I'm someone who knows nothing about themes and programming.
