Spacing and size of DockTitle indicators

Is there any way to add spacing between the DockTitle indicators and the edges of the widget's frame?

As you can see, the only possible (a.f.a.i.k.) spacing is a fixed 1px. With the Breeze theme, there appears to be more spacing, but I can’t say for sure if it’s emulated by the icon’s design itself (with a transparent background rectangle larger than the close icon itself):

And the other question is whether you’re considering implementing the option to allow sizes larger than 14px (that’s the maximum size, right?) for these indicators.

I'm afraid no. I know that those buttons are too tight, but there were complications (partly related to menu-bars, which inherited some sizes from QMdiSubWindow!) that I avoided by this compromise. I also wanted to give the space to the title as far as possible. Other styles don't have to deal with such problems because they use fixed sizes everywhere.

Also, please note that tiny frame sizes should be set under [Dock] — at most 2 px — because of the same complications.

I'll change it if QStyle gives us a more flexible way of dealing with title-bar buttons of sub-windows, but I don't think that will happen soon.

As a side note, QStyle even doesn't provide options for drawing CSD, which may be used by some Wayland compositors (other than KWin). Until options are added, it's better to avoid CSD and use SSD (or no title-bar with tiling WMs like Niri) under Wayland.
