This would be an idiomatic Java client that exposes a blocking interface that resembles a JDBC ResultSet along with an async interface that returns Guava ListenableFutures.
Ideally, it'd support Java 8 features, but for compatibility's sake, perhaps this should be an optional thing that publishes two maven artifacts with the appropriate classifiers.
