The language list in your metadata profile decides which books get added to your library, but until now it barely applied to downloads. The release filter only kicked in for English only profiles, and the automatic grab path skipped it entirely, so your ITA/ENG profile had no effect on what actually got grabbed. That was a real bug: #1573, fixed in #1576 and it'll be in the next release. After that, releases tagged with another language get dropped in both manual search and auto grab. One caveat: releases with no language marker in the name still pass, since most releases are untagged and dropping them would empty every search. Related tip: OpenLibrary often reports no language at all, and by default those books pass into your library. If you want to be strict, set "unknown language behavior" to fail in the profile. The audiobooks are a different quirk. "Default media type" only applies when the metadata source doesn't specify one, and Hardcover marks a book as ebook plus audiobook when both editions exist upstream, so those books fire an audiobook search too even with Ebook as your default. I've opened #1575 for a setting that restricts new books to your default type. Until then, bulk edit the affected books to ebook only and the audiobook searches stop. |

I have 2 metadata profiles, one is ITA ONLY and the other ITA/ENG
And my "Default media type" is "Ebook"
So why i get almost any lang book downloaded, along with many audiobooks?
