Some apps wont refresh

This rom has been a blessing! However during setting up my privacy friendly google alternatives I noticed that some apps have trouble refreshing the screen. An example is here wego (a maps alternative) in which after opening a menu or showing the directions, the app seems to be stuck and requires me to manually refresh the screen. I've had similar problems in Finamp (a jellyfin music client) and supercycle.

I'm not sure if this is also behaviour on the stock rom (never tried it, went all in on your build haha). But I think that this can probably be fixed by making a new refresh mode that forces screen updates onto these apps. Atleast, thats just my outsider perspective on it..

It seems to be almost all mapping apps having, difficulties here, even google maps. Especially when moving around the map instead of zooming

I should add some more apps: My install has two camera apps, and they both freeze unless you touch the screen. This also affects the screenshot editor, if you want to crop a screenshot. I had to pull down the notification shade, then put it back, just so the app would update the screen 🙂

Can confirm experiencing the same issues with Google Maps and Camera app.

Apps like Koreader and LocalSend do not show any changes until I hit the clear screen side button. After refreshing/clearing the screen, it will now show the button I tapped or to the screen I swiped towards. I've tried installing both of these via APK and F-Droid but neither fixed the issue.

Apple Music from the PlayStore and sideloaded F-Droid seem to work perfectly, so it doesn't appear to be a Play Store vs F-Droid vs Sideloaded issue.

Kindle app is broken too.

Immich is another one with the same problem.
The only way to get it refresh is by showing an overlay over the app after doing an action (for example, by opening the Ink Centre, pulling the notification bar, or by doing the Back gesture)

I managed to find a potential temporary fix for this, and is by enabling "Show taps" in Developer Settings.
This way, every time you tap on the screen the screen will have an overlay and will update what is behind (is not the best for apps like Youtube/Camera, but at least for other ones like Immich it works just fine (at least for now until there is a proper fix)

Yep @MatiasDesuu this is great. Kindle app became usable after this toggle.
