failed to import GFP. only gaia subroutines will work

After 'python setup.py install' on a m2 chip MacOS in a python3.8.18 environment, "import wdtools" will show this "failed to import GFP. only gaia subroutines will work" message, causing error of "AttributeError: module 'wdtools' has no attribute 'GFP'" after calling "gfp = wdtools.GFP(resolution = 2, specclass = 'DA')".
Any solution to this matter? Thanks~

Could you try importing the GFP module directly? This is likely due to a dependency issue in the GFP module. If you import the GFP module directly, do you get any error message that could hint at what dependency is missing or mismatched?

I tried to run "python gfp.py" in the installation directory, then installed a few dependency packages following the error messages. Now when import wdtools, I got messages like below. Maybe problems with tensorflow?

Now when I directly import GFP, it gives me "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'GFP'".
When I run "python gfp.py", I got "Illegal instruction: 4"

@andrewbooks Unfortunately this does look like a problem with the tensorflow installation. We're working revamping wdtools to work with some of the latest tensorflow versions to prevent these issues, since the older versions have become impossible to deal with. In the meantime, if you're mainly interested in radial velocities, I'd recommend using our corv package instead: https://github.com/vedantchandra/corv
