Moderation Tooling

The Versia project plans to integrate useful, in-depth moderation tooling for server administrators and end-users.

Warning

Work on these items has not started yet. We will start development when

1. The rest of Versia is complete-ish
   or
2. Someone is willing to do it right now (pull requests welcome)

Items on our roadmap:

• Mod notes on users
• Automatic flagging of users and instances based on configurable filters (e.g., flagging users that frequently use slurs for review or having instances with a high count of problematic users flagged)
  • IP, name, note, display name, username, and instance filters (with regex), like our CLI already has (IP supports v4, v6, CIDR ranges, wildcards and more)
• Modlog
• Ability to disable automod (flagging) for users/instances
• Incident history (filterable by instance/user)
• Scheduled termination of users/instances, such as defederation warnings
• Social network graph of users (harassment analysis)

for IPs: they should also track which ASNs belong to, to maybe make a net of instances based on IPs in specific ASNs and similar.. means also we can trust some ASNs specifically in automod.
fictional Example: Kookie Bakery GmbH having a own registered ASN for their 3 fediverse Instances and we can whitelist their ASN when they are part of our trusted group
