Can't scroll or create a dataset

I would like to use this tool in my research, but the app seems to be broken at the moment. I can't create a dataset, or even scroll down in the generation tab to look at all the options. Is there a more up-to-date version, or at least some kind of documentation to help with running the app? It would go a long way to improving the usability, even if this isn't the full version. As for the full version, is there any kind of timeline or predicted date for its release? It could be greatly helpful for me and others.

This is probably due to the UI size not being tied to the viewport resolution. I will mark this as a bug and pin it so I can solve it as soon as possible.

As a workaround to get you unblocked, you can force the app to open with a taller window so the bottom settings don't get clipped. You can do this by running the executable from the command line:

SPIN.exe -screen-width 1080 -screen-height 1400 (adjust the height as needed).

If making the window that tall means it bleeds off the bottom of your physical screen, you can click the window, press Alt + Space, press M (for Move), and use the Up Arrow key to drag the window up so you can click the generation buttons.

Alternatively, temporarily flipping your display orientation to "Portrait" in Windows screen settings may give the window enough vertical room to maximize properly, although this is purely a last resort.

Let me know if one of those gets you up and running for now, I'll try to bugfix this asap.

As for the full release date, I'm not sure when this will be. The paper is currently stuck undergoing the review process sadly after some backs and forths. I will try to add some documentation when I can find the time to do so, or at least create a video tutorial on YouTube explaining how to use this release of the tool.

Thank you for the quick response! I am able to access all the options I wasn't able to before. Still, I can't seem to find the actual option to start generating a dataset. I know that might be a stupid question to ask though, maybe I'm just not seeing it. Regardless though, some documentation would be well-appreciated! I'd love to be able to use this sometime to try generating a dataset using my own custom models. It's sad to hear that it'll be a while before the paper gets accepted, but I wish you luck in the process!

This helps a lot! The button to start generating was gone before but now it's back, albeit a little small. I've been able to start generating with it, I can change the directory for the images but not the annotations/depth. I have lots more questions about the tool, but I'm not sure if I'm asking too much. I just want to give feedback since it seems it's been a while since there was much talk on here relating to it.
