Receive grade error

Hi,
I've encountered an issue when using the section "activity completion" within the settings menu. It consists of the two following related sub-problems:

(1) With the setting "Student must receive a grade to complete this activity"

After completing the adaptive quiz the student will see

even though she/he received a grade, e.g. 2 (just not a passing grade - which was set in this example to 3). Side note: When the passing grade is set to 0, the "Receive a grade" marking appears as ticked and green.

(2) When ticking "Student must receive a passing grade to complete this activity" the whole activity immediately gets blocked by an error message:

and becomes inaccessible.

It seems to me as though both problems come from some mix up between receiving a grade and receiving a passing grade.

Hi Connie, thanks for reporting this. This part was never looked into since adopting the plugin, really.

A side note: in the current plugin design, the 'Receive a grade' and 'Complete an attempt' conditions are interchangeable. You cannot perform one of these actions without performing the other one.

thank you for your reply. Yes, it makes perfect sense that in this type of activity, completing an attempt should be the same as receiving a grade, because the questions are automatically graded. But it seems to me that this is not how it has been set up. Rather, the behavior suggest to me that "receive a grade" has been wired to mean "receive a passing grade" while "receive a passing grade" has been left out completely.
