Should we have one called sub-site that indicates where a different (sub-)site, and its set of destinations can be discovered?

We discussed this in today's call and wanted to note the following:

• Experimenting with prototypes will help us determine what is the best way to present the destinations to users, but a tree (including sub-sites?) is one option.
• In the 'hotel with restaurant and gym' example, users may want to explore the destinations in either of the following two ways.
  • Hierarchically, down through sub-sites:
    • Hotel > Contact
    • Hotel > Restaurant > Contact
  • Functionally, grouping site and sub-site destinations together:
    • Contact (i.e. the global contact page, for the hotel site)
    • Contact (Restaurant)

Could we use the title attribute on the <link> element to provide the name for the sub-site? Would that translate cleanly if we were to use linksets in future?

Also, some destinations, e.g. the accessibility statement, will apply equally to the root and sub-sites (though maybe that requires nothing extra from the author - if a destination isn't 'overridden' in a sub-site, it could just be left out from those identified in the sub site?)
