As we develop Sensor Centres, we're getting a picture of the performance of all the Global Services (including Gateways). It's not a uniformly good picture. In fact, some Global Services have continuing poor performance, while others suffer long, unexpected outages (18 hours for a GTS-to-WIS2 gateway). These services are the foundation of the WIS2 ecosystem. Without these functioning as expected (routinely available, performing their function 24x7) completing the transition from GTS to WIS2 looks unachievable.
We already plan to develop KPIs to define what good performance looks like. But we also need to agree how collectively we can resource the changes we need to make.
This issue is a place-holder for a discussion at the meeting in Brasilia.
