That is great, I will keep an eye on this!!
I am exploring some potential workarounds in the mean time. I am currently converting into ISMRMRD using [https://github.com/ismrmrd/ge_to_ismrmrd](this code) and then working from there to convert to Nifty, but this is likely not the most efficient way.
