[Bug]: MIDI files don't start Fedora 44

Describe the bug

When I try to load a midi file into this program and press start, absolutely nothing happens. Nothing even logs.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the app
2. Load a midi u

sing gervill and the default soundbank
3. Press play and watch as it hangs for about one second and absolutely nothing else happens.

Reproduction File

This bug happens with any midi file I use.

System information

• OS: Fedora Linux
• OS Version: 44
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
• GPU: NVidia RTX 2080

Update: version 2.0.3 seems to work fine.
