Usb error (yubikey not found) when trying to fill password field

Hi,

When I try to fill a password field on a website the software answer with a dialog : "Unable to challenge Yubikey: Unable to open Yubikey: code 1 (USB error)". Everything work otherwise perfectly well (just after or just before trying to fill the password field I can generate without problems TOTP.

Tested with htaccess dialogs and html password field in firefox, google chrome and safari.

I experience the same issue. I suspect that it may be related to my use of VMware Fusion (4 and 5) or VirtualBox. I think one of these may be claiming the HID and not letting OneTime have access to it. That said, unloading the VirtualBox and Fusion kexts does not seem to solve the problem.

I am not using the computer on which i had this problem anymore ; but i wasn't using vmware fusion. I had however virtualbox installed on the same machine.

This also happens to me on a regular basis. I haven't isolated it but will post here as I learn.

I've tried killing the OneTime process, as well as unplugging/pluggin in the yubikey nano to no avail.
ps aux | grep -i onetime .. then kill -9 <pid>

...which agrees with my experience. When I've had this trouble, usually there's a secure input hanging around that I didn't notice (iCloud or some other noise).
