Moves PurePoint's Node.js from 22 to 26 LTS (26.13.0 "Lithium", LTS since 2026-10-28) in one step: CI, the bundled Point Guard runtime, engines and @types/node together.
Why now: Node 22 leaves maintenance in April 2027, and 26 is supported into 2029. Skipping 24 saves one migration. Point Guard ships its own Node, so users install nothing.
What changes
CI pins: every actions/setup-node step is now 26.13.0: macos.yml (6), release.yml (3) and release-proof.yml (1). test_release_workflow.py asserts the new version.
Bundled runtime:runtime/node-release.json pins the four nodejs.org archives (darwin-arm64, darwin-x64, linux-arm64, linux-x64), each with its SHA-256 from the official SHASUMS256.txt.
Docs: README, distribution.md (DIST-005), linux-phone-host.md and bundled-pi-verification.md name the new version. The Linux glibc floor is still 2.28 on Node 26.
CHANGELOG: Unreleased › Changed.
Verification
npm run check (TypeScript 7.0.2 with @types/node 26) passes.
The bridge suite passes locally on Node 26: 230/230, plus e2e.test.js4/4, with POINT_GUARD_LOCK_HELPER_PATH set as CI sets it.
A full manual macos.yml run on 26.12.1 (run 39784834874) passed: Intel legs, Point Guard packaging proofs, the optimized universal release archive and the Linux phone payload. I'm re-running it on 26.13.0 for this PR.
Follow-up (not in this PR)
Rerun the marketplace qualification.runtime/marketplace-qualification.json and MARKETPLACE.md are a dated Node 22.23.3 snapshot. qualify-marketplace.mjs hard-codes the rejection of pi-agent-browser-native for requiring Node >=24.21, and Node 26 meets that requirement. The script and the snapshot should be re-run on the bundled 26.13.0 rather than hand-edited.
PointGuardServiceChecks.swift uses "nodeVersion":"22.23.0" as fixture data. The app decodes that field but never compares it, so it's left as is.
Updated the bundled Node.js runtime to version 26.13.0 for macOS and Linux phone hosts. Linux phone hosts still require glibc 2.28 or newer; Alpine/musl remains unsupported.
Updated the mobile app’s development requirement to Node.js 26 or newer.

Walkthrough
The mobile runtime requirements and bundled Node.js version changed to 26.13.0. CI and release workflow jobs now use the same version. Release metadata, checksums, tests, and documentation were updated to match.

The mobile package now requires Node.js 26 or newer. Runtime metadata specifies Node.js 26.13.0 and updated archive checksums for four platform and architecture entries. Documentation records the version and retains the Linux glibc 2.28 minimum.
CI and release workflow pins .github/workflows/macos.yml, .github/workflows/release-proof.yml, .github/workflows/release.yml, .github/scripts/test_release_workflow.py
The listed CI and release jobs now use Node.js 26.13.0. The release workflow test expects the updated version.
Linux hosts without libatomic cannot install the runtime and receive an incomplete error message. Installing libatomic provides a workaround.

Explanation
The title "build(runtime): move to Node 26 LTS" names the main change. The changeset moves CI, the bundled runtime, engines, and @types/node from Node 22 to Node 26.13.0. The title is concise and specific, and it follows a conventional commit style.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template's Summary and Testing sections. The Summary covers the version move, the reasons, and the changed files. The Testing section lists verification the author ran: npm run check, the bridge suite (230/230), e2e (4/4), and a manual macos.yml run on 26.12.1. The template checkbox for 'just ci' is not ticked, and it is not clear whether 'just ci' ran. The CHANGELOG and docs are updated, so the second checkbox is satisfied. The author says the rerun on 26.13.0 is still in progress, so the final CI result is not yet confirmed.
Resolution
Optional: state explicitly whether just ci passes, or tick the checkbox once the 26.13.0 rerun of macos.yml completes. The template checkbox is not ticked, and the description does not confirm just ci.

Option A: official nodejs.org `linux-x64`/`linux-arm64` tarballs (glibc), the same 26.13.0 that the Mac pins.
- Pro: the same upstream, version and SHA256SUMS flow as `node-release.json`; covers Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora/RHEL 8+, Amazon Linux 2023 and Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit.
- Con: needs glibc ≥ 2.28 (Node 22's Linux build floor). Alpine/musl hosts are unsupported, unlike the static musl `pu` binaries (DIST-004).
- Con: needs glibc ≥ 2.28 (Node 26's Linux build floor, unchanged from 22). Alpine/musl hosts are unsupported, unlike the static musl `pu` binaries (DIST-004).

Document the Node 26 Linux libatomic requirement.
The pinned Node v26.13.0 Linux binaries require the libatomic runtime in addition to glibc ≥ 2.28. The existing startup check rejects the payload before installation, but its error message does not identify libatomic, and LPH-001 does not document it.
