- Accepting responsibility for mistakes and correcting them promptly.
- Being mindful that security and forensics work can involve sensitive topics and operational risk.
Unacceptable behavior includes:
- Harassment, intimidation, stalking, or sustained disruption.
- Offensive comments related to personal identity, background, ability, or beliefs.
- Sexualized language or imagery.
- Public or private threats.
- Publishing private information without explicit permission.
- Deliberately sharing exploit details, credentials, customer data, or sensitive operational information outside approved security reporting channels.
- Any conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional engineering environment.
This Code of Conduct applies in all 4Safe project spaces, including GitHub repositories, issues, pull requests, discussions, review comments, project documentation, and official communication channels.
It also applies when an individual represents 4Safe or a 4Safe project in a public or professional context.
Maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing standards of acceptable behavior. They may remove comments, close issues, reject contributions, restrict participation, or take other appropriate action when this Code of Conduct is violated.
Enforcement decisions will consider the severity, impact, intent, and history of the behavior. Maintainers should act proportionally and document decisions when appropriate.

Reports should include relevant context, links, screenshots, or other details that help maintainers understand the situation. Reports will be handled with care and confidentiality to the extent practical.
