❖ Meta-Synthesizer

Autonomous Live-Process Self-Modifying Quine & Hot-Reload Engine for Frontier Swarms
Enables running agent engines to autonomously compile, verify, and hot-swap their own executing bytecode in memory with zero downtime and sub-millisecond atomic rollback for Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Sol, and Gemini 3.8 Flash.

⚡ The Problem: The Inflexible Process Boundary

Autonomous agents currently write code to disk and restart child processes, severely limiting real-time adaptability:

  1. Destructive Restarts: Restarting a host process blows away active socket descriptors, in-memory KV-caches, and active conversation state.
  2. Crash Vulnerability: Dynamically loading unverified code directly into a live process risks unhandled fatal exceptions or infinite loops.
  3. No Dynamic Self-Optimization: Agents cannot profile their own runtime bottlenecks and synthesize specialized bytecode replacements on-the-fly.

Meta-Synthesizer delivers safe, in-memory self-evolution:

  • Shadow Memory Sandbox: Pre-compiles synthesized ASTs, validates security invariants (blocking dangerous syscalls like os.system), and tests execution with real inputs.
  • Atomic Symbol Hot-Swapping: Swaps function pointers and class definitions in the active namespace without restarting the process.
  • Sub-Millisecond Rollback: Automatic checkpointing of prior symbol references allows instant restoration if runtime regressions or anomalies trigger.
