GT: Not Leisure (GTNL) is a massive content overhaul for GregTech New Horizons.
It bridges the gap between Arcane Arts and High-Voltage Industry, introducing over 221 Multiblocks, unique boss-level mechanics, and massive Quality of Life improvements for the endgame.

Based on the internal systems, GTNL introduces features that change how you build your base:

  • Parallel Control Cores: Install specialized cores (LV to UMV) into machine controllers to drastically increase parallel processing and reduce power costs.
  • Wireless Mode: High-tier multiblocks (like the Grand Assembly Line) can operate without Energy Hatches when equipped with UMV+ cores.
  • Perfect Overclock: Certain endgame machines (e.g., Mega Blast Furnace) enable 100% efficient overclocking when specific temperature or tier thresholds are met.
  • Structural Scaling: Machines like the Space Elevator and Meteor Miner gain new abilities and range based on the tier of casings used.

๐Ÿงฉ Quest Loading

GTNL uses BetterQuesting + BetterQuestingAPI to import built-in quest lines from resources during startup.

What loads by default

The following quest lines are always registered:

  • GTNotLeisure75SteamAge
  • GTNotLeisure99SteamAge

Optional extra quest line

An additional debug/extended quest line (GTNotLeisureQuestsLine) is available but disabled by default.

To enable it:

  1. Start the game once to generate config files.
  2. Open config/GTNotLeisure/GTNotLeisure.cfg.
  3. Set debug.enableQuest=true.
  4. Restart the game/server.

Resource source path

Quest resources are shipped inside this mod at:

  • src/main/resources/assets/sciencenotleisure/quest

If you maintain custom builds, keep folder names and encoded line directories unchanged to preserve UUID/order behavior.

๐Ÿงฑ Dependency Requirements

Runtime requirements (for modpack/server use)

  • Minecraft: 1.7.10
  • Forge: 10.13.4.1614
  • GTNH: 2.8.0+ (recommended 2.8.4)
  • Required mods for quest loading:
    • BetterQuesting (3.7.15-GTNH or compatible)
    • BetterQuestingAPI (1.1.0 or compatible)

Without both of the above quest mods, GTNL quests will not be injected.

Development/build requirements (for contributors)

  • Java: JDK 25
  • Gradle wrapper: use the included gradlew / gradlew.bat
  • Build command:
    • Windows: gradlew.bat clean build
    • Linux/macOS: ./gradlew clean build

โš ๏ธ Installation & Update Instructions

IMPORTANT: When updating GT-Not-Leisure, you must reset the configuration to prevent recipe conflicts.

  1. Backup your save/instance.
  2. Delete the old .jar from your mods folder.
  3. Delete/Reset the GT language file: GregTech.lang (The mod injects new entries here).
  4. Delete/Reset the config file: config/GTNotLeisure/GTNotLeisure.cfg (older packs may still use main.cfg).
