Summary
Motivation
The documentation homepage currently duplicates the repository README. This change gives the docs site its own search-oriented entry page while keeping the scientific content and generated PTF/API documentation unchanged.
The new homepage makes the relationship between
ptfkit, pedotransfer functions, soil hydraulic properties, the PTF catalog, and the supported programming-language targets explicit for both conventional search engines and retrieval systems.Scope
This PR intentionally does not modify scientific specifications, generated PTF implementations, package metadata, or public APIs.
