Naattukadha AR

An Augmented Reality (AR) mobile app built with React Native and @reactvision/react-viro, designed to bring Kerala’s cultural heritage to life.

With this app, users can experience 3D AR models of Kerala’s iconic art forms and legends, such as Kathakali, Theyyam, and Jatayu Rock, directly through their smartphone camera.

Inspired by Pokémon Go but focused on cultural preservation, this project aims to make Kerala’s history, art, and legends more interactive, immersive, and educational.

Getting Started

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/kerala-heritage-ar.git
cd kerala-heritage-ar

2. Install Dependencies

npm install

3. Run the App

npx react-native run-android
# or
npx react-native run-ios

• Add voiceovers explaining the cultural stories
• Add food heritage section to explore Kerala’s traditional dishes
• Add legends & folk songs in a scrollable format
• Add location-based AR experiences at heritage sites
