Codex 1.4.0 connects through the published official Alignbase app and routes existing native lifecycle hooks through that same connection. The package removes its direct MCP configuration, preserves Activity capture, and removes the unavailable PermissionRequest tool_use_id placeholder. Validators prevent reintroducing either connection duplication or the invalid placeholder.

All host and catalog release versions are synchronized to 1.4.0. The matching app download bundles are in Alignbase/alignbase#311 and will deploy after this marketplace release.

Validated marketplace manifests, native runtime package loading, official app context retrieval, prompt/final Activity, PermissionRequest, Interrupt, and real-provider subagent start/stop hooks. Local browser downloads match source package bytes. Independent code and security reviews found no actionable issues.

Runtime limits: Codex 0.147.0 does not support MCP hooks; desktop 0.163.0-alpha.11.1 passed the native checks. The current desktop runtime skips MCP SessionEnd hooks, so the declaration remains but session-end coverage is incomplete. Existing users must refresh, restart, and review changed hooks; remove separately configured legacy direct connections after verifying the app.
