Restores the remembered narrow-window behavior: palette and inspector are mutually exclusive and swap with an animated fly-over (grid-track interpolation + content fade), and clicking the canvas's empty space deselects — folding the inspector away gracefully and bringing the palette back. Verified live with mid-animation track sampling: rest 200|558|0 → 150ms in 38|493|226 → selected 0|478|280, and the exact reverse on empty-canvas click. 607 PHPUnit ✓ 261 vitest ✓.

In a narrow window the palette and the inspector are mutually
exclusive, and the trade is now played rather than cut: selecting a
field slides the palette out as the inspector slides in from its own
right side, and putting the selection down — a click on the canvas's
empty space, a gesture the canvas simply did not have — plays the whole
thing backwards. The grid tracks themselves animate, which Chromium
interpolates, and the rail contents fade rather than squeeze through
the intermediate widths. Below 640px the palette rests folded too and
the inspector still flies in over a selection.
