What

Design feedback on #36: the field preview still floated as its own boxed tile (margins, ring, halo shadow) inside the card — a box inside a box. Now the preview is the window's content: full bleed under the card's title bar, no inner chrome, with the card body clipping the bottom corners.

Notes

  • The preview still paints its own fixed-neutral ground rather than the shell's surface, so under a dark desktop theme the card reads as a window with light content — the way the published form will actually look — and the dark-form flip yields a seamless dark body the same way.
  • The condition row is builder furniture, not form content: it stays on the window's own surface and now carries the inset the body no longer provides.
  • CSS only; Theme Studio's preview frame is untouched.

Verified on the 8889 QA site in both resting and selected (focused blue bar) states.

The preview kept the floating-tile treatment it had before the cards
grew window chrome — its own margins, a ring, a halo shadow — which
read as a box inside a box: a window's content does not float inside
the window, it fills it. The preview now runs edge to edge under the
title bar with no chrome of its own, and the card body clips the
bottom corners, which is safe with no halo left to shave.

It still paints its own ground — the fixed neutral from the
preview-backdrop block, not the shell's surface — so on a dark desktop
theme the card is simply a window with light content, the way the
published form will actually look, and the dark-form flip arrives at a
dark body the same way. The condition row is builder furniture rather
than form content, so it keeps sitting on the window's own surface and
carries the inset the body no longer provides.
