SUGGESTION: Redundant .toString() on localhostUrl
localhostUrl is already a string (const localhostUrl = \http://localhost:${server.port}\`` on line 62), so .toString() can be dropped.

Leaving as is for the same reason: core/src/open.ts matches upstream exactly. Refused URLs are non-http(s) schemes, not credential-bearing web URLs.

P2, below this PR's bar, so not fixing here: redaction masks string values, and non-string leaves under secret keys are left as-is (pinned by tests). A numeric secret in config would still print; I'm noting it as a follow-up rather than widening this backport.

…dpoint masking Backslash-form URLs such as `https:localhost\\mcp\\<token>` are normalized by the MCP client, so they must still be masked; `allow`/`deny` permission values remain readable. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Preserve provider environment-variable names
When a provider declares credential lookup variables via the schema-valid env: string[] field (for example, env: ["ANTHROPIC_API_KEY", "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN"]), this key-wide secret scope replaces every variable name with "***". These entries are names rather than resolved environment values, so debug config can no longer show which variables a provider is configured to inspect; distinguish the provider array from value-bearing MCP/LSP environment maps before applying blanket masking.

redactArgvkeeps every non-string item unchanged. An argv array such ascommand: ["tool", ["--token", "abc"]]or an object element can hold string values. These values then skip redaction. Argv items are normally strings, so this is a narrow edge case. Recurse on non-string items instead of returning them as-is.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Closes #1506
Type of change
What does this PR do?
Backports three hardening fixes from upstream v1.18 that we don't have, since we're based on v1.17.9. We are not doing another v1 merge, so we cherry-pick these instead.
debug configno longer prints secrets (starts from upstream82d4c89031, extended after review). Only the printed output is redacted; the resolved config used at runtime is unchanged. This is deliberately name-agnostic because credential query names are open-ended.url,api,baseURL,endpoint): origin only (https://host/***), because paths can carry tokens (/mcp/u/<token>/…,/v1/sk-…); an endpoint value that does not parse as a URL is fully masked" https://[bad/mcp?api_key=…"): whole value. Prose that merely mentions a link (prompts, descriptions) is printed unchanged; a value that starts with a scheme or//is always treated as a URL, even with spaces.--token=…and the value after a bare secret flagenvironment/envmaps: every value (keys stay visible).command/headersCommand/argsargv (includingheadersCommandrecords of header → argv): everything except the executable and non-string values. Overview
Backports upstream v1.18 security hardening:
debug confignow prints a redacted copy of resolved configuration (credential-like keys, headers, URL userinfo/query values, MCP env/argv carriers, and endpoint origins) while runtime config stays unchanged.Introduces shared
openUrl()in@opencode-ai/core/openand routes browser launches through it across CLI, TUI, plugins, and Altimate flows so only http/https URLs reach the OS handler. MCP OAuth and Snowflake driver sign-in additionally reject unsafe authorization URLs before spawn/redirect; sign-in notices still expose the URL for manual copy.Snowflake Cortex OAuth error callbacks now HTML-escape provider error text on the failure page. Adds
opento core dependencies plus unit tests foropenUrl, config redaction, OAuth URL refusal, and driver browser launch behavior.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 14e5145. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
