Anirudh “Andy” Alledula

Master of Engineering in Computer Science student at Virginia Tech, focused on full-stack engineering, frontend product work, backend-integrated interfaces, and practical software systems that move beyond toy demos.

I like building interfaces that act as the working surface of the product: dashboards, workflows, filters, routing, data views, state handling, and API-connected experiences that make messy information usable.

Currently building toward software engineering roles with a focus on:

  • React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture
  • Full-stack application development
  • API integration and product-facing data workflows
  • Dashboard, analytics, and operational UI
  • Clean project documentation, maintainable structure, and practical engineering judgment

Featured Work

Mach10 — Aircraft Maintenance Platform

Capstone aircraft-maintenance platform built in a 5-engineer team environment.

My work focused on frontend and integration features across the product, including aircraft reservation flows, plane-specific views, dashboard and analytics updates, frontend/backend wiring, and deployment-facing fixes such as nginx API proxy routing.

Highlights

  • Built and refined aircraft booking and reservation-flow UI
  • Implemented plane-specific views and logged-in reservation experiences
  • Worked across frontend/backend integration points for production-like workflows
  • Contributed to dashboard and analytics-facing UI updates
  • Helped resolve deployment and proxy-routing issues for CS Launch environments

Tech and areas

React, TypeScript, frontend architecture, dashboard UI, API integration, capstone product development, deployment troubleshooting.

Frontend for a team-built idol news aggregation MVP.

I led much of the frontend implementation for a React/TypeScript application that presents processed article data through a coverage feed, artist/group/source views, search, filtering, pagination, and a two-pane master-detail reading experience.

Highlights

  • Built the main coverage feed UI for article discovery and reading
  • Implemented route-based views for artists, groups, and sources
  • Added search and filters for sentiment, language, and country
  • Used TanStack Query for API-backed article fetching and cache behavior
  • Built master-detail article selection with loading, empty, and error states
  • Persisted filters locally to improve user experience across sessions

Tech and areas

React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Query, React Router, Zustand, Tailwind CSS, API integration, frontend state management.

What I’m Improving Next

I’m currently sharpening the parts of software engineering that compound hardest:

  • Data structures and algorithms
  • System design fundamentals
  • Backend architecture
  • Testing and CI
  • Docker and deployment workflows
  • Clean GitHub project presentation
  • Portfolio-grade documentation and case studies

My aim is to build public work that is clear, useful, and honest: not inflated, not vague, and not dressed up beyond what it actually does.
