Wage_contribution-Construction_sector

What was the total annual wage "contribution" of the Construction sector in 2006 compared to 2007?

Rationale for the Project The Construction Industry is usually considered one of the heavyweights in employment in California. This is particularly because majority of the work force in this industry consists of informal labor - and therefore, offers an easier path to employment than a formal job for people without a college degree. It's wage bill is a direct determinant of how many people it employs. We can therefore see from the numbers if the overall economy is doing well or not. Utility: This can reveal the very first signs of the housing market slowdown in California.

Code summary The code checks for the total wage bill for all industries then checks what percentage of that came from the Construction sector.

Dataset(s) Used The dataset used is the official QCEW (Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages) data for California from 2004-2007, gotten from data.gov website.
