main says 0.1.13 but crates.io has blvm-node 0.1.73. This PR fixes main and makes Release commit its version bump from now on, the way blvm-consensus already does.

Evidence

  • main @ 8f4aba5: Cargo.toml [package] version = "0.1.13".
  • crates.io max_version 0.1.73, tag v0.1.73.
  • Release run https://github.com/BTCDecoded/blvm-node/actions/runs/39175511209 (on 8f4aba5) changed the version to 0.1.73 in its working tree and published with --allow-dirty, but never committed the change.
  • blvm-consensus already commits Bump version to X for release [skip ci] from Release (e.g. 1cf24e4, 0.1.61, matches crates.io).

Changes

  1. Cargo.toml: [package] version 0.1.13 → 0.1.73. No other change; Cargo.lock is gitignored. No other in-repo references to 0.1.13.
  2. ci.yml Release: new step Commit Cargo.toml version bump, placed after Publish to crates.io and before the tag step.
    • It runs only if steps.publish.outputs.published == 'true'.
    • It uses consensus's commit message and pushes HEAD:${{ github.ref }} with REPO_ACCESS_TOKEN (|| true, as consensus does).
    • One difference from consensus: it commits only the [package] version line. It applies the same awk to HEAD:Cargo.toml and stages that blob with git update-index.
    • Why: the release Cargo.toml on disk also has the stripped [patch.crates-io] and the blvm-protocol = "<crates.io ver>" rewrite. Consensus's whole-file git add did land its patch-section strip on main in 1cf24e4.
    • Publish and attestation still use the on-disk release manifest, which this step doesn't modify. The tag now points at the bump commit, as in consensus.

Run locally

  • cargo metadata --no-deps resolves version 0.1.73. A full local cargo check -j 2 could not build on this box: openssl-sys needs pkg-config, and tikv-jemalloc-sys needs make, neither of which is installed. No Rust source changed, so CI is the build check.
  • The bump step's shell logic was run in a scratch clone against a dirty release-style Cargo.toml. The commit had a one-line version diff, and the working tree was left as it was.
  • YAML parses, and the step order was checked.

…ersion bump

Release published up to 0.1.73 with --allow-dirty and never committed the
[package] version bump, so main stayed at 0.1.13. Set main to the crates.io
max and add a Release step (after a successful publish) that commits only the
[package] version line as 'Bump version to X for release [skip ci]', matching
blvm-consensus.
The previous commit message quoted the release skip marker, which made
GitHub skip the pull_request workflows for that head.
