Outputting NDI from OBS

Goal

Create a NDI stream from OBS which can be found and displayed by an NDI receiver on a network

Requirements

• 2 PCs (PC1 and PC2)
• 1GB Ethernet Connection between PCs
• OBS installed on PC1
• DistroAV installed on PC1
• NDI Tools installed on PC2

Outcome expected

View output of OBS running on PC1 in a NDI Viewer on PC2

Steps

1. Open up OBS on PC1
2. On menu for OBS, under Tools, select "DistroAV NDI® Settings"

3. In Settings, click on Main Output

4. Select OK -> Main/Program is now sending NDI on the network
5. On PC2, open up the NDI Video Monitor (macOS) or NDI Studio Monitor (Windows)
6. On the menu for NDI Video Monitor, select NDI
7. Select PC1
8. Select OBS
