Design-only proposal. Read docs/design.md; it now contains both decisions and the implementation checklist.

A saved run is a record of work, not a saved browser. Recovery distinguishes:

  • Resume: validated live state survived.
  • Reconstruct: rebuild missing UI state from permitted inputs or a verified application draft, in a new attempt.
  • Restart: begin a linked attempt only when repeating the workflow is safe and authorized.
  • Blocked: missing/unretainable inputs, unsafe reconstruction, or uncertain prior effects.

The plan covers half-filled forms, same-tab reloads, renderer/browser crashes, autosave and submission uncertainty, bounded retries, and local input-retention limits. Recovery must not hide a failed persistence test or duplicate a possibly completed mutation.

The agent-ergonomics direction remains: useful answers and evidence, focused inspection, scoped deterministic control before vision, and same-session Midscene fallback. Reviewed procedure reuse stays later, after measured benefit.

Removed the four overlapping proposal documents. Updated README/agent guidance, current-guide links, and the documentation-link test. Runtime code, operational skills, dependencies, and SHA-pinned Actions are unchanged.

CI validates this documentation change and existing behavior; it does not establish the proposed recovery capabilities. New crash/recovery acceptance tests are listed in the design. No production accounts or paid model calls are used.

Make resumable runs, explicit evidence, and safe next actions the shared contract across CLI, MCP, and executor adapters. Refine the planned Playwright/Midscene fallback with deterministic routing, dispatch uncertainty, cumulative budgets, scoped verification, and direct extraction.

Add a vision, system design, agent contract, reviewed-recipe policy, and gated implementation plan. Link proposals from the current guides without advertising unimplemented commands or changing installed skills. Extend documentation-link validation to AGENTS.md and VISION.md.

No runtime implementation, model configuration, dependency versions, or workflow permissions changed.

ℹ️ About Codex in GitHub

Your team has set up Codex to review pull requests in this repo. Reviews are triggered when you

  • Open a pull request for review
  • Mark a draft as ready
  • Comment "@codex review" or "@codex security review".

Codex reacts with 👀 while any review is running, comments if it has suggestions, and reacts with 👍 once all reviews finish with no findings.

Distinguish validated live continuation from reconstruction, restart, and unrecoverable loss. Cover half-filled forms, policy-limited recovery inputs, same-tab reloads, unknown autosave/submission effects, and preserving crash failures in tests.

Replace five proposal documents with one design and implementation checklist. Repair guide links and documentation-link validation. Runtime, operational skills, dependencies, and SHA-pinned Actions remain unchanged.
