Shareable Microsoft Fabric App (Rayfin) templates — working starting points you can copy, run and adapt.
Every template here is meant to be taken. Clone it, point it at your own workspace, change what you need. MIT licensed, so there is nothing to ask permission for.
Status: opening up. The gallery is being populated. Templates land one at a time, and each one arrives only when it runs end to end — a shop window of stubs would waste your time. Watch the repo to get the first ones.
A Fabric App (built with the Rayfin toolchain) is a distributable application that runs inside Microsoft Fabric and talks to your own data — Lakehouse, Warehouse, semantic models, Data Agents — through the Fabric APIs. Instead of exporting data to somewhere else, the app lives where the data already is.
Each template is a self-contained folder:
<template-name>/
README.md what it does, what it needs, how to run it
... the app itself
Read the template's own README first: it states which Fabric items it expects (a Lakehouse? a semantic model? a Data Agent?) and what permissions you need before it will start.
npm create @microsoft/rayfin -- --template https://github.com/CSalcedoDataBI/fabric-app-gallery/<template-name>Requirements and per-template variations are in each template's README — check there rather than assuming this command is enough.
This repository is the gallery: self-contained, copy-and-go templates, published openly.
There is a separate, more advanced template set used for client and product work — deeper integrations, opinionated architecture, and the pieces that carry accumulated project decisions. It is not public. If that is closer to what you need, open an issue or reach out; the gallery is the right place to start either way.
- fabric-data-agents — how to build and instruct a Fabric Data Agent, which several of these templates consume.
- PowerBI-Deneb — Vega / Vega-Lite visual templates for Power BI.
- powerbi-pbip-tools — tooling for Power BI Project (PBIP) files.
Issues and pull requests are welcome — a template that does not work on your tenant is a bug worth reporting, and the fix helps everyone who copies it next.
