Problem
Mural's conversation-first approach is useful once learners can follow the teacher in the target language. Beginners who need Chinese or another familiar explanation language need a gentler entry, and readers need a way to bring their own article into the same voice lesson.
Proposed behavior
A prepared iOS extension adds selectable Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese interfaces, a separate explanation language, a guided Ogden Basic 850-word classroom, and read-first article lessons with local file and HTTPS URL import. It also adds 22 orb concepts with native motion and an optional, self-hosted subscription bridge. The existing API-key route, voice selection, local learning records, Android client and hosted-service foundations remain available.
The proposed review PR will include the code, source/licence notes, rationale, deterministic tests and verification limits. Android changes preserve the optional archive fields and corresponding explanation-language prompt context; the new classroom and appearance UI is iOS-only.
This is a request for upstream design and code review, not a claim that the features are ready for release. Exact-build real-device voice, subtitle and all-skin checks are still needed, and Android Gradle checks were unavailable on the preparation host. The subscription bridge depends on a compatible locally signed-in Codex app-server and is experimental; it is not an official subscription API or iPhone OAuth implementation.

The prepared diff is based on the current monorepo layout and preserves the latest guest-recovery work. Most added files are the attributed 850 US and 850 UK word recordings, rather than separate features. Maintainer feedback on splitting the contribution into smaller mergeable pieces is welcome.
