Accessibility: review keyboard focus and contrast on the public website

Goal

Review the public HitTheKit website for keyboard navigation, visible focus, text contrast, and readability at 200% zoom.

Suggested checks

• header navigation and language switch;
• Sponsor, GitHub, and primary call-to-action links;
• FAQ controls;
• footer links;
• 200% browser zoom at a desktop width.

Acceptance criteria

• Findings include the affected element and a reproducible viewport/zoom.
• Each finding explains the user impact.
• Suggested fixes preserve the existing visual direction.
• No broad redesign is included.

A focused report is already a useful contribution; code is optional.

I’m with Allure Labs and can take the focused no-code report requested here. I’ll use the public-only method from our free MIT Public-Path Evidence Audit Starter (https://github.com/Allura-Gensin/public-path-evidence-audit-starter) to check the English public route and language-switch target with keyboard-only navigation and a desktop view at 200% zoom. I’ll return no more than five reproducible observations, each with the affected element, viewport/zoom, observed behavior, user impact, and a bounded suggested fix. This will be observed public behavior, not an accessibility or WCAG certification; I won’t submit forms, access private routes, test security, or contribute code/assets. If the issue is still available, I’ll post the compact report here.
