🎯 What: Extracted the inner
os.scandirdirectory iteration logic in_collect_filesinto a new_process_dir_entriesgenerator function usingyield fromto flatten the deeply nested code structure.💡 Why: The original
_collect_filesfunction had significant nesting (while -> try -> with -> for -> try -> if/elif) making it harder to read and maintain. By extracting the inner loop into a separate generator, the main function is much simpler while preserving the exact same traversal behavior.✅ Verification:
PYTHONPATH=. pytest tests.✨ Result: Improved code readability and reduced nesting depth without changing runtime behavior or performance.
