Sam

It's OK, but there are probably better ways.
FPGA:DECIM is the value you want:

For ACQ480, look at the clock tree:
acq2206_009:1:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM
acq2206_009:2:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM
acq2206_009:3:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM
acq2206_009:4:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM
acq2206_009:5:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM
acq2206_009:6:ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM

Available as a knob as well as a PV:
/etc/acq400/1/ACQ480:FPGA:DECIM

For voltage. Don't use scale for converting incoming data, use chan2volts() or ESLO directly

It's OK for setting an FG, but, better, in my opinion:

  • get the calibration file .xml
  • find the range NOMINAL element:

eg:
http://acq2206_005/d-tacq/cal/site.1.xml

then use the max value to scale with. max being easier for your purpose than eslo.

Thanks

Peter
