The below worked for me for CTRL-TAB

Two things here. First, the capture box does record Tab, Ctrl+Tab, arrows, Home/End, Page Up/Down, Delete and the keypad: click the box so it gets the green border, then press the combination (hold Control, press Tab for Ctrl+Tab). Typing "Tab" or "KC_Tab" as text won't work; it isn't a text field. Second, Return and Escape genuinely could not be recorded because they were wired to the Save and Cancel buttons; that's fixed in #15, which also adds a Quick Presets menu with Return, Enter, Tab, Escape, Delete, Space, arrows, Home/End, Page Up/Down and Forward Delete so you don't have to touch the capture box at all. Shipping in the next release; I'll close this when it's out. @manilshah's osascript workaround is a fine stopgap on the current build.
