Summary

Follow-up to merged PR #17 correcting the paper's historical provenance, implementation pin, research/binary distinction, and Decapod dogfooding lifecycle.

Corrections

  • Records that the author coined Intent-Driven Design as the name of Decapod's software-engineering approach in public LinkedIn posts beginning in August 2025.
  • Records constitution-based project boilerplate and agent-guidance scaffolding by September 2025, independently predating the February 2026 repository-instruction study.
  • Updates the implementation audit to Decapod 207e9a37e57ee970e881942de2994abea2cd737c / v0.66.3. The diff from the previous audit pin changes release metadata, CI, and research links rather than mapped implementation paths.
  • Clarifies that the Decapod binary already enables pre-inference context alignment; the prospective research program tests its comparative effects.
  • Clarifies that experiments, hypotheses, conditions, instrumentation, and sample plans may evolve while the protocol is unfrozen. After freeze, material changes require a new protocol version or disclosed deviation.
  • Records continuous Decapod dogfooding since early February 2026 to build Decapod, plus the author's repository lifecycle: run decapod init once before the first agent interaction, then interact naturally while the mandatory AGENTS.md contract keeps Decapod active at governance boundaries.
  • Records that Decapod has aided this paper and executable artifact since inception.
  • States that the author has not observed the proposed falsification conditions during dogfooding, while retaining the boundary that this is author-reported observational experience rather than controlled evidence.

Validation

  • make check — PASS
  • make paper — PASS; 26-page PDF regenerated
  • git diff --check — PASS
  • protocol manifest JSON validation — PASS
  • LaTeX scan for overfull boxes and undefined references/citations — PASS
  • PDF visually inspected, including revised protocol, Related Work, Threats to Validity, Conclusion, and references
  • generated Decapod specifications refreshed

The checked-in observational Study E snapshot remains explicitly pinned to its older commit and is not silently reinterpreted as the newer implementation audit.

Follow-up commit 86f2c81 links the first Decapod mention in the paper abstract to the upstream repository and links every listed Decapod-using repository across the README, adoption inventory, site, and paper. The paper and site validation passed; this hyperlink-only follow-up did not repeat the earlier full PDF page-by-page review.
