There's no browser extension, but for individual videos there's already a "Send to Youtarr" bookmarklet. Create an API key under Settings -> API Keys, and the dialog that pops up after you create it has a "Send to Youtarr" button you can drag to your bookmarks bar. That dialog only shows once, so grab it then (the manual code is in the docs if you miss it). It works on video and Shorts pages. It doesn't subscribe to channels, those still need the web UI.
One thing I noticed while checking this: the bookmarklet fails if you're watching a video you opened from a playlist, because the URL has list= in it. I opened #937 for that.
I don't have plans for an extension right now, honestly. The API side is being worked on in #810 (part of #568), which adds channel subscription requests over an API key. That's basically the piece an extension would need for the channel half. Once that's merged an extension would be a natural follow-up... (I will probably create an issue for that once that work is completed).
I'm going to close this since the question is answered, but let me know if you run into trouble with the bookmarklet.

Yeah indeed the bookmarklet route isn't supported for Arc/Dia users (nor would PWA installations on mobile).
Thanks for your work
