[Feature Request] Support multiple title filters per channel (add/remove individual filters instead of one combined regex) #964
Each channel currently has a single set of filters: one title regex, plus one min/max duration. If a channel releases several series, everything has to share that one set. This causes two problems:
Title regex: I have to merge all series into one long alternation, such as (?i)(Scrapyard Wars|Secret Shopper|...). Adding or removing one series means rewriting and re-testing the whole regex. It's easy to break, and it's hard to see what's being tracked.
Duration: Different series on the same channel often have very different lengths, but one duration range applies to all of them. For example, Scrapyard Wars episodes might be 25–40 minutes, while Secret Shopper episodes might be 10–15 minutes. One shared range can't fit both, so it either lets in unwanted shorts or clips, or excludes real episodes.
This is common on larger channels that release multiple serials, and I follow many of them.
Proposed solution
Let each channel have a list of filter rules, managed individually in the UI. Each rule bundles its own settings:
Title regex (optional)
Min duration (optional)
Max duration (optional)
UI:
A "+" button adds another filter rule.
Each rule has its own remove ("–" / trash) button.
Rules can be edited independently, with no need to touch the other rules' regex.
Matching logic:
A video is downloaded if it matches any rule (OR between rules).
Within a rule, all of its conditions must pass (AND): the title regex matches and the duration is within the min/max range.
A rule with no regex but with a duration range applies to every title. A rule with a regex and no duration range only checks the title.
Channels with a single rule behave exactly as they do today.
Example
Channel: (a channel with multiple series)
Rule
Title regex
Min duration
Max duration
1
(?i)scrapyard wars
20 min
45 min
2
(?i)secret shopper
8 min
20 min
3
(added later with "+")
Under these rules:
A 30-minute "Scrapyard Wars" video is downloaded (matches rule 1).
A 12-minute "Secret Shopper" video is downloaded (matches rule 2).
A 5-minute "Scrapyard Wars" clip is skipped, because it is shorter than rule 1's minimum and doesn't match any other rule.

This will be handled in #175
I am closing thiss, I am essentially implementing what you are asking for there in #175, where you can setup different "TV Shows" with different regex that all pull from the same channel :)

Not sure if its a variation of what you are handling with #175 hmmm. maybe this could still be useful. Keen to get your thoughts.
