What problem does this solve?
Description
When adding an exercise to a routine, I want to define a rep pyramid: a list of decreasing rep targets for each set (e.g., set 1: 12 reps, set 2: 8 reps, set 3: 6 reps). The weight is managed by me outside the app, so I do not need to track or log weight. I also do not need to log actual reps during the workout — I just want to see the prescribed rep pyramid and follow the routine exactly.
Proposed approach
Desired behavior
- In the routine editor, when adding an exercise, allow entering a list of rep targets for each set. For example: 12, 8, 6.
- No weight input is needed. Weight is not part of the prescription.
- The routine stores these rep targets per set.
- During the workout, the app displays the prescribed reps for each set (e.g., "Set 1: 12 reps", "Set 2: 8 reps", "Set 3: 6 reps").
- Logging of actual performance (weight or reps) is not required. The user may optionally log if they want, but the app should not force it. The main goal is to display the prescribed rep pyramid.
Example use case
Routine: "Push Day"
- Bench Press: Set 1 – 12 reps, Set 2 – 8 reps, Set 3 – 6 reps
- Overhead Press: Set 1 – 10 reps, Set 2 – 8 reps, Set 3 – 6 reps
- Triceps Pushdown: Set 1 – 15 reps, Set 2 – 12 reps, Set 3 – 10 reps
