Add Support for checking out repositories using "Tags" of certain Releases

Hi,

thanks for the package. It works great so far!

I would like to request the feature of adding support for checking out a repository, marked with a certain "Tag".

This way, it is easier to lock-in a specific Release of a repo that has to be cloned, especially when those do not manage version through their branches, but tags instead.
