Wi-Fi provisioning for ESP32, over Bluetooth Low Energy.
Community-maintained Flutter/Dart toolkit built on Espressif's protocomm protocol.
Welcome to the ESP Provisioning BLE GitHub organization, a community-driven space dedicated to the development and long-term maintenance of open source tooling for ESP BLE provisioning on Flutter and Dart.
This organization exists thanks to the work of @ogabrielinacio, who created and open-sourced esp_provisioning_ble. Gabriel built and maintained it on his own time and effort, and it has been useful to many developers since.
After some time, as other personal commitments took priority, Gabriel decided to pass the torch. @ivanhercaz stepped in to continue the work, and together they agreed to move the project under this organization to give it a neutral, community-oriented home.
Gabriel remains credited as the original author and is always welcome to contribute. This transition is a handoff, not a fork, and the project carries its full history with it.
Right now, the organization hosts a single package:
- esp_provisioning_ble: A Flutter/Dart package for Wi-Fi provisioning over BLE on Espressif devices, using the ESP-IDF Unified Provisioning protocol.
- esp_provisioning_test_firmware: Test firmware target for esp_provisioning_ble, it uses the ESP-IDF Unified Provisioning protocol. Not for production use.
This organization is open to growing. If related tooling emerges around ESP BLE provisioning, this could become a home for that too.
The transition is complete. The repository is now under this organization, and active maintenance has resumed. The current focus is on:
- Triaging and addressing existing open issues.
- Reviewing and managing pending pull requests.
- Defining a public roadmap for upcoming development and maintenance.
Contributions, feedback, and ideas are genuinely welcome.
If you use esp_provisioning_ble, have hit a bug, have a feature idea, or want to contribute, open an issue or a PR. The goal is to keep this package useful, well-maintained, and aligned with the needs of the people who actually use it.
