Accurate GPU mode keeps report and semaphore writes in the query cache until a fence, and the MME DMA read only flushed the buffer cache. Ocarina of Time's predicate macro (0x142) then read a stale "visible" record, ran its half-res depth clears every frame and drew the fog over Link and the terrain; per-object occlusion predicates read old counts and leaves and lights flickered. Fast mode writes payloads immediately and was unaffected. The flush is skipped while the GPU split is active, which only runs with immediate payload writes.
Cherry-picked from oot-jojo 50db849; it applies cleanly to this branch. I did not check whether this branch shows the stale-predicate symptom in Accurate. macro.cpp and the rest of video_core built in the existing Linux PGO build tree, but nothing was run.
Not ported, for reference: 5f8cd77 (MaxContinuousRange cache) is already here; the Ocarina shader lowering commits and the native storage buffer commits conflict with this branch's own work.

Turing MME DMA reads now flush the source region from QueryCache when GPU split is inactive. The existing dirty-buffer check remains in place. The query-cache flush does not run when GPU split is active.

Summary
DMA read cache flush src/video_core/macro.cpp
When GPU split is inactive, DMA reads flush the source range from QueryCache before the existing dirty-buffer check.
Djihads80/Eglantine#503: Adds native macro JIT execution on Android ARM64 through the macro read callback and tracks query-result buffer writes for direct host reads.
This change flushes pending query writes before native MME DMA reads, to fix stale occlusion predicates. When a pending query overlaps a dirty buffer on some Vulkan drivers, the flush ordering can still leave a stale predicate. Resolve or explicitly accept the ordering concern before merging; the fix has not been run or validated against the affected title.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 0f110
The change adjusts when pending writes become visible without adding access privileges. No introduced security issue was established, but backend-specific ordering and interrupted-execution behavior remain only partially assessed.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The directly affected operation remains a guest-selected, mapped DMA source range capped at 16 KiB per invocation. The added flush can trigger existing synchronization work beyond that interval, but the diff introduces no new address-selection authority, external interface, credential access, or deployment resource.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The existing mapping boundary and split ownership boundary remain in the changed path. Split-front DMA drains queued work and delegates dirty-buffer flushing rather than directly accessing the backend-owned query cache.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — The inspected Vulkan lifecycle retains query identity through deferred completion and unregisters a cached location only when it still matches the completed query. Fence processing preserves per-fence query and callback order. These controls counter the hypothesized unconditional early-removal failure, without proving safety under every interruption or concurrent recovery state.

If a pending sample query overlaps a dirty, non-preflushable buffer, the early flush can resolve and retire the query before the buffer download. On Qualcomm, ARM, and Turnip, the download can then overwrite the result, and the later query flush cannot restore it. The DMA read can use a stale predicate.
Remove the early flush and protect the query result until the buffer download completes. Fence callbacks can also run independently.
