Worldgen
Silver ore can be found in the overworld between y -32 and 32, most abundant at y = 0.
Mining it will drop 2-4 raw silver, affected by fortune. Silver Ingots can be used for decorative blocks as well as Silver Armor and as an Armor Trim Material.
Can be found as ores in Basalt Deltas and in Onyx Geodes which spawn everywhere in The Nether. They spawn evenly, height wise, for the entire Basalt Deltas.
The ores drop 1-2 Sulphur, which can be increased with Fortune.
