Summary

• add an ADR documenting the AgentV -> Opik post-run export boundary
• keep Opik as a post-run adapter over completed AgentV result bundles
• document the privacy, failure-mode, and identity constraints for the future adapter

Decision

• Merge-ready as an ADR-only decision artifact.
• Direct Opik upload/export implementation remains out of scope for this PR.
• Implementation should continue through av-vwa.16.2 stable external identity / duplicate policy, then av-vwa.16.4 vendor-neutral projection bundle, then av-vwa.15.2 Opik adapter.

Findings

• AgentV already has the right post-run inputs: EvaluationResult / index.jsonl, per-test artifacts from packages/core/src/evaluation/run-artifacts.ts, and canonical agentv.trace.v1 sidecars.
• run-artifacts.ts currently writes execution-trace sidecars with full capture, even though buildTraceEnvelopeFromEvaluationResult() defaults to metadata-only capture.
• Opik's documented manual trace/span APIs require UUID-form ids, while AgentV's canonical trace/span ids are stable hashed ids. The adapter should translate ids and preserve AgentV ids in metadata instead of reusing them directly.
• av-vwa.15.2 already depends on av-vwa.16.4, and the id/retry semantics overlap av-vwa.16.2, so a direct exporter implementation here would duplicate or preempt the shared export work.

Validation

• bun run lint - passed (Checked 727 files in 1946ms. No fixes applied.)
• No runtime code changed; example/eval validation was not run locally because this PR only adds an ADR.
• GitHub checks are green on head 8907dd12: Build, Check Links, Cloudflare Pages, Lint, Test, Typecheck, Validate Evals, and Validate Marketplace.

Post-Deploy Monitoring & Validation

No additional operational monitoring required. This PR adds a docs/ADR decision only and does not change runtime code, CLI behavior, artifacts, or deployed surfaces.
