Automatic fork releases use their own version numbers, so the post-update What's new view cannot find them in the upstream changelog. Packaging now generates the matching fork changelog entry from changes on main since the preceding fork release and embeds it in the app.
Validation: six release tests, 29 updater/release-note tests, an actual changelog-generation check, actionlint, and diff checks passed. Source changes are confined to packaging and its runbook.
