Attendance Tracker App Overview The Attendance Tracker App is an Android application designed to manage and track student attendance. It leverages Firebase Firestore for backend data storage, ensuring that attendance records are stored securely and can be accessed in real-time.

Features Record Attendance: Allows teachers to record the attendance of students. View Attendance: Enables teachers to view the overall attendance records. View Student Attendance: Provides detailed attendance records of individual students. Prerequisites Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

Android Studio installed on your development machine. A Firebase project with Firestore enabled. An Android device or emulator for testing. Installation Clone the Repository:

Launch Android Studio and select Open an existing Android Studio project. Navigate to the cloned repository and open it. Set Up Firebase:

Go to the Firebase Console. Create a new project (or use an existing one). Add an Android app to your Firebase project. Follow the instructions to download the google-services.json file. Place the google-services.json file in the app directory of your Android project. Sync Project with Gradle Files:

Click on File > Sync Project with Gradle Files in Android Studio. Usage Main Activities MainActivity:

Contains buttons to navigate to different functionalities: Record Attendance, View Attendance, and View Student Attendance. RecordAttendanceActivity:

Displays a list of students with checkboxes to mark their attendance. ViewAttendanceActivity:

Shows the overall attendance records fetched from Firebase Firestore. ViewStudentAttendanceActivity:

Displays detailed attendance records of individual students. Firebase Integration The app integrates with Firebase Firestore to fetch and store attendance records. Ensure that you have correctly set up your Firebase project and Firestore database.

Code Overview Model:

AttendanceRecord.java: Represents the attendance record of a student. Adapters:

AttendanceRecordAdapter.java: Custom adapter for displaying attendance records in a ListView. StudentAttendanceRecordAdapter.java: Custom adapter for displaying individual student attendance records in a ListView. Layouts:

activity_main.xml: Main activity layout with navigation buttons. activity_record_attendance.xml: Layout for recording attendance. activity_view_attendance.xml: Layout for viewing overall attendance. activity_view_student_attendance.xml: Layout for viewing individual student attendance. item_attendance_record.xml: Layout for each attendance record item. item_student_attendance_record.xml: Layout for each student attendance record item.
