Scope

Adds scripts/render_palette_gifs.py and generated previews in assets/sprites/previews/, to help understand the indexed player sheets from #140.

The script rewrites the template role ramps (jersey, trim, shorts, socks, hair) in the palette only. No pixel indices change. It renders run, dribble_run, jump, front_run and back_run as 5x animated GIFs.

Palettes: bubblegum pink, default, ocean blue, lime flash. Also includes showcase_run_all_palettes.gif.

Notes

  • Built from the sheets on main (39acd1c). If newer "refined" sprites exist elsewhere, re-run the script after they land: python3 -m pip install Pillow && python3 scripts/render_palette_gifs.py.
  • Frame timing (110 ms, 220 ms for jump) is chosen by the script. The manifests define none.
  • No game code or existing assets are touched. Draft because it is a preview and tooling aid.

…#140)

Adds scripts/render_palette_gifs.py, which remaps the template role ramps
(jersey, trim, shorts, socks, hair) and renders run, dribble-run, jump and
front/back run clips as GIFs. Includes bubblegum pink, default, ocean blue
and lime flash previews.
