As a preparation for this discussion, I suggest making a list of all data you collect (publicly available repos, users account names?, user names?, emails?). Also consider whether there is any data we might be collecting needlessly.

Ideally, we would like to promise the users that we do not collect, do not retain, and do not redistribute their personal data. But we first have to seriously consider whether this is indeed the case.
