What is TrakLinks?

TrakLinks is a link tracking and analytics platform that allows users to create, manage, and analyze the performance of their links. It provides detailed insights into link clicks, user engagement, and conversion metrics, helping businesses and individuals optimize their online presence and marketing strategies.

Technologies Used

Frontend

• React 19 - JavaScript library for building user interfaces
• Vite - Build tool and development server
• Tailwind CSS - Utility-first CSS framework
• Framer Motion - Animation library for React
• Material Tailwind - Components library based on Tailwind CSS
• React Icons - Icon library for React applications

Backend

The backend is currently in development.

Setup Instructions

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher)
• npm (v9 or higher) or yarn
• Git

Setting Up the Frontend

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/TrakLinks.git
   cd TrakLinks

2. Install frontend dependencies

   cd frontend
   npm install

   or if you use yarn:

   cd frontend
   yarn

3. Start the development server

   npm run dev

   or with yarn:

   yarn dev

4. Access the application Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:5173

Setting Up the Backend (Coming Soon)

The backend setup instructions will be provided once the backend development is complete.

Development Workflow

1. Make your changes in the appropriate directories
2. Test your changes locally
3. Commit your changes:

   git add .
   git commit -m "Description of changes"

4. Push to the repository:

   git push origin main

Project Structure

• frontend/ - Contains all frontend code
  • src/ - Source code for the React application
  • public/ - Static assets
• server/ - Will contain backend code (in development)
